College Closed Monday, Nov. 11 for Veterans Day

Veteran Day Float博天堂官方 and all college centers will be closed Monday, Nov. 11 in observation of Veterans Day.

Did you know: More than 340 student veterans currently attend classes at 博天堂官方. They are earning degrees in everything from business, engineering and computer science, to graphic arts, welding, heavy equipment and automotive repair, to 4-year transfer degrees.

博天堂官方 offers a variety of support services on campus for our student veterans, designed specifically around their unique needs, including:

博天堂官方 Veterans Scholarship: Vietnam Veterans of America, Mid-Valley Chapter 585 created a scholarship fund through the 博天堂官方 Foundation that is focused on helping student veterans and family members of veterans. Established in 2000, the Linn County Vietnam Veterans Memorial Scholarship Endowment has provided more than $17,000 in scholarships to 博天堂官方 student vets and their family members. 博天堂官方 Veterans Education Benefits office: Located in Takena Hall at the Financial Aid office, this office assists veterans and eligible family members with navigating financial aid benefits to attend college. Contact: Justin Curtis, curtisj@ngskmc-eis.net

博天堂官方 Student Veterans Center: 博天堂官方 student vets have a dedicated meeting and study space exclusively for vets on the Albany campus. Located in the Forum building, room F-109, the Veterans Center is a safe, friendly space for vets to study, hang out, and connect other veterans and veteran advocates.

博天堂官方 Center for Accessibility Resources (CFAR): Located in Red Cedar Hall, CFAR coordinates disability accommodations for disabled student veterans. Carol Raymundo, CFAR manager, is highly trained in understanding unique situations facing veterans including PTSD, TBI and other impacts. Contact: cfar@ngskmc-eis.net
